About American Solar Savings in 2026

Short answer

American Solar Savings researches and compares local installer options, then sources through a network of trusted installers. No big sales commission is baked in. We do not install equipment, sell electricity, or represent a utility or government agency.

Who operates the site

American Solar Savings researches and compares local installer options for you. We do not install equipment, sell electricity, or represent a utility or government agency.

We have not published a street address or a phone number on this page. Use the estimate form for a house. Questions about this website are on the privacy policy.

We work through a network of trusted installers. The point is a better overall deal for the homeowner, without a big commissioned salesperson layered on the price. An introduction is not a requirement to buy, and buying is not a requirement to read the guides.

We do not publish a star rating or a review count for American Solar Savings. Where this site shows Google reviews, they are reviews of the installer named on that block, not of us.

How an introduction is screened

We look for a license where the state licenses this work, and for insurance, and we expect a written proposal. That is the screen. It is not a guarantee of workmanship.

License rules differ. Some states license solar contractors specifically. Others use an electrical or general contractor license. We are not a licensing board. You should open the state site and check the company name on the morning you sign, because a screen done earlier can go stale.

Insurance should be current and should match the company on the contract. We ask for it. You should ask to see it too. A certificate is a snapshot, not a promise that a claim will be paid.

We do not inspect roofs, pull permits, or warranty the installation. If a crew damages a roof, that dispute is between you and the installer. Choosing carefully is still your job. Choosing an installer is the longer checklist, including equipment models and production assumptions.

We will not introduce a company that will not put the price, the equipment, and the production model in writing. A verbal savings number is not a proposal.

Why the estimate is conservative on purpose

The calculator uses public inputs and prints its omissions. It does not subtract a tax credit and it does not invent a local price.

The price input is the 2025 EIA state average from Table 2.10. The sun input is a rounded NREL-style resource. Shade, if you report it, reduces the share of the bill we illustrate. The cost of equipment is absent because we do not know it. Savings and payback explains why we still will not print a payback year.

The federal credit for homeowner-owned systems does not apply to installations completed after December 31, 2025. Leaving it out of the estimate is the accurate choice for a site published in 2026. If the law changes again, the page should change with a citation, not with a slogan.

Who writes the guides

The guides are written by the American Solar Savings editorial desk. They are not signed by a fictional engineer.

The byline is the company, not a stock photo. We cite EIA, NREL, Berkeley Lab, the IRS, and the statute when we use their figures. We do not cite a number we cannot point to. Where a local tariff moves too often to quote, we name the utility and tell you to read the rider.

Guides are updated when a cited source changes in a way that would mislead a reader. Each article shows a published date and an updated date. Those dates are editorial dates, not a claim that a lawyer reviewed the page. The consent language on the form is separately marked in the code for counsel to review. The articles are explanations, not legal advice and not tax advice.

What we are not

Not an installer, not a utility, not a lender, and not affiliated with any government agency.

We do not offer a government solar offering, a check, or free equipment. Anyone who describes this website that way is wrong. The footer says the same thing because it is easy to imply otherwise with a rushed headline, and we would rather be dull.

If you only wanted to learn how an inverter works, you can stop at how solar works. The call is optional.

Questions on this page

Do you install the panels?

No. An independent installer does that work if you hire them. We make an introduction after you ask for a call.

Do you charge homeowners to use the estimate?

No. There is no charge from us for the estimate or for requesting a call. Message and data rates from your carrier can still apply if you agree to texts.

Where are you located?

We have not published a street address on this site yet. A call about your house goes through the estimate form. Questions about the website are on the privacy policy.

Figures on this site are cited so you can check them. They are not a quote for a house, and they go stale when the publisher updates them.

My experience with Spartan Solar has been outstanding. From the very beginning, everyone I worked with was professional, knowledgeable, and transparent. They took the time to explain the entire process and made sure I felt comfortable every step of the way. A special thank you to Aimin Mustafa, whose professionalism and positive presence made a great first impression. He was friendly, respectful, and made the experience enjoyable from the start. I also want to recognize Tore Grasso for his incredible knowledge, professionalism, and patience. He answered every question I had thoroughly and never made me feel rushed or pressured. It's clear he genuinely cares about educating customers and helping them make informed decisions. It's rare to find a company that combines excellent customer service with such a knowledgeable team. If you're considering solar, I highly recommend Spartan Solar. They have earned my trust, and I look forward to working with them throughout the installation process and beyond.

I'd like to thank Scott Schwarz for taking the time to share Spartan X's personalized residential solar plan with my family and I last week. We were interested in learning more about the opportunity and he did a terrific job of explaining all the details. I really respect and appreciate Scott's courteous down to earth approach. He never made us feel pressured to make a decision right then and there. He was knowledgeable and very willing to listen to, and answer, questions. He's definitely a great Spartan X representative. Thanks again, Scott.
